Former Doctor Accused of Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors have announced that a ex- physician has been charged with performing assaults involving 38 individuals who were under his care.
The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
