Sir Keir Starmer will push allies to supply Ukrainian forces with further long-range missiles to target enemy locations during a meeting in Britain on the upcoming Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside the so-called "group of committed partners", comprising more than 20 of supporting nations who have committed to provide Ukraine defense assurances once a ceasefire is arranged.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for weeks for further long-range weapons from allied countries, a move that Russia has warned would intensify the hostilities.

President Zelensky is coming from Brussels, where he met European representatives on the previous day pursuing financial support.

"The sole individual engaged in the ongoing war who does not want to halt the fighting is the Russian leader," the Prime Minister remarked.

The Prime Minister will encourage participants to expand the provision of long-range weapons following a successful strike on a manufacturing site in the Russian city, the Russian Federation, using British-supplied advanced weaponry.
